THE OPPORTUNITY:
CIC Construction Group, a construction company in Cary, North Carolina, is actively seeking a highly motivated and successful Project Controls Manager to join our growing team. This full-time, non-exempt position requires expertise in the Industrial and Life Sciences sectors, specifically in managing weekly invoices, monthly P&L statements, project documentation, and production of Schedule of Values. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of routine office billings, construction means, and methods knowledge, with proficiency in Primavera Software scheduling.
The Project Controls Manager will collaborate closely with diverge range of professionals, including consultants, engineers, contractors, accountants, and operations personnel, to deliver precise and comprehensive financial and budget analysis tailored to the unique needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize cost estimating data/systems to prepare comprehensive project accounting reports.
- Monitor and report on critical path and schedule performance of the entire project.
- Conduct thorough project schedule analysis and provide advice on areas of concern of challenges.
- Verify consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and maintain consistency.
- Recommend alternative resources and assess the associated costs required for project recovery.
- Manage the drafting of subcontractor contracts and oversee pay applications.
- Provide support to the Project Manager in organizing and updating files in Procore, including regular updates to Requests for Information (RFI), Submittals, and Change Orders.
- Compile and accurately record actual project costs on a weekly basis and monthly billing statements for clients.
- Engage in meetings with both potential and current clients to establish and nurture trusting relationships.
- Participate in face-to-face client interviews and conduct jobsite cost analysis reviews.
- Attend regional outreach expos to engage with clients and professional associations.
- Oversee the completion of project closeout documentation.
- Support the need for weekly reporting on Davis/Bacon Wages and compliance with LEED requirement.
- Create a template for capturing lessons learned, incorporating profit and loss analysis during project closeout, in collaboration with the project team.
- Attend monthly job site walks as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Proficiency in utilizing Sage/Timberline, PowerPoint, and Primavera processor applications, highlining expertise in these software tools.
- Familiarity with Touch Plan or similar scheduling tasking software.
- Adeptness in utilizing computers and software programs commonly employed in the construction industry.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, characterizing by meticulous attention to detail and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated aptitude for multi-tasking, combined with comfortability in collaborating with diverse project teams, fostering inclusivity and teamwork.
The base salary offered for this position is competitive and aligned with the North Carolina marketplace. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience and level of education. As for the company-supplied benefits package, detailed information will be provided and discussed with the selected candidate at a later stage.
