Terumo’s New Manufacturing Facility in Puerto Rico Recognized with 2026 Outstanding Project Award
San Juan, Puerto Rico (2026) – The recently completed Terumo’s new manufacturing facility in Puerto Rico earned thee 2026 Outstanding Project Award from the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico (CIAPR). The award recognizes excellence in engineering, construction, and project delivery.
As the general contractor, CIC led the construction of this 34,044-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility. The project includes production areas, offices, a warehouse, a central utility building, and multiple support spaces. Each area supports highly regulated medical device manufacturing.
The new facility strengthens Puerto Rico’s manufacturing and life sciences sector. It will create over 180 jobs in the next five years. It also supports the development of medical technologies that reduce hospital stays, enable less invasive procedures, and improve recovery time
This recognition reflects the knowledge, commitment, and compliance of CIC employees and all project partners involved. Together, the team delivered a project that meets high standards for quality, innovation, and engineering excellence.
